On Tuesday, rumors swirled that the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show had already landed the ultimate star in Beyoncé Knowles. By the end of the day, the multi-talented performer confirmed the reports via Tumblr, posting a glamorous headshot of her puckering visage with the Super Bowl date, Feb. 3, 2013, inked across her cheeks over game-appropriate eye black.
Yep: Beyoncé’s going to rock the Super Bowl, and she’s going to rock it well.
While there’s no word on who will join Knowles — most performers enlist several of their famous friends for maximum star-wattage — there’s already plenty of speculation. Many are hoping B will turn to Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child reunion, while others feel confident she’ll bring Jay-Z into the mix.
But what fans should really be excited for is the new album Knowles will likely be promoting by the time she takes the stage. There’s no way she’d pass up an opportunity like this to get ears to her new music.
